Zak just called me a coo-coo bird bird for buying the wrong type of chicken at the store. Where does he learn this stuff?
Poor Zak. His nose has been running all day. He told me this afternoon that he thought his nose was going to run forever.
Ava's language skills have really taken off in the last couple of months. Today she put sunglasses on her doggy, then said "Bye Mom, Bye Zak, take doggy mirror".
Zak is trying to learn about lonely. He asks me each morning if I was lonely during the night without him. If he goes to the bathroom, he asks me if I was lonely. If I go to the bathroom, he asks me if I was lonely. And on and on it goes.
Ava and flip flops - "fop fops" - have a love/hate relationship. They are so much fun to wear, but a great source of frustration to her as she hasn't quite mastered putting them on, but desperately wants to.
Ava has a new fixation with sunglasses.
Zak brought me an armful of his clothes today and asked me to make them into squares. It took me a while to figure out that he wanted me to fold them.
We tried breakfast a little different this morning. Zak couldn't decide what type of cereal he wanted, so we mixed them all together. It was a suicide of Cheerios, Froot Loops, Raisin Bran and Corn Pops. Ava, of course, followed his lead. Disgusting!
Ava, Ava, Ava. It's been a rough couple of days. Thank goodness for nice weather and Advil. The only calm dialog between the two of us today was when I was frantically looking for Ava's flip flops. She came to me and said "in train room, Mom". She was right. I love that girl.

Turns out that there are 13 days of the week, rather than the 7 we have all been taught. There's the traditional M,T,W,Th,F,Sa,Su - then there's Easter, Christmas, Dog Day - and my favorite 3 days: Little Ava day, Target day and Trash day. This according to Zak.

We sorted through Zak's clothing today. We always have a pile of donated clothes at the top of his closet just waiting for him to grow into. Zak was super excited when we found a "Dino Dan" vest that now fit him. It was a hand-me-down from Alex & Tyler. Thanks boys - you made his day!
