Developmental Testing

Zak and Ava were tested today for development through the "Teachers as Parents" program. I am pleased to say that they both did well. Zak scored highest on the math/logic/reasoning category and Ava excelled in the language/communication area. Good thing there wasn't a category for cleaning your room.

NO MORE DIAPERS!!!!!

I hereby declare Ava to be 100% potty trained. I haven't changed a diaper in over a month. I'm so proud of my sweet Ava!

The Simple Things in Life

NOTHING beats getting a new toothbrush.  Zak got a new toothbrush at the dentist yesterday.  He has asked to brush his teeth at least 100 times today.  It feels so wrong to keep telling him "No, not until bedtime".

Kids and Thanksgiving

We started a tradition last year by making a "Thanksgiving Wall". Each day leading up to Thanksgiving, we discuss how much we are blessed and each person puts up a label for something they are thankful for. This year, I started us out with "our home". Zak chose "rescue bot", because that's how 4 year old boys think. Ava, without any surprise element whatsoever, chose "snakes".
